That what I loved about Rock Band 2's campaign and the quirky style of Rock Band 2's rise to stardom sees a welcome return. Its challenges seemed more like a chore than anything else and clothing, hair styles, etc., were all tied to challenges and not from any money earned from doing gigs (in fact, money was simply absent). One of the things that turned me off in Rock Band 3 was its campaign. We were very excited to see Rock Band 4 return and eagerly dropped it in and even started downloading songs from our library 2 days ago when they silently appeared on the PSN store (so far, downloaded over 420 songs from our collection).ġ. When Harmonix signed off with 'American Pie', we were sad to see our weekly expectations of new DLCs dissolve. Since then, our song collection on Rock Band 3 (including previous imports) numbered 1,251 songs.

We have been die-hard Rock Band fans since Rock Band 2. If Harmonix don't want to risk pushing away an entire fan base from future releases, then they need to be far less complacent and get a grip. Customer services are poor, they only seem to know the words 'soon' and 'be patient', though at 7 months this really starts to grate. SCEE is obviously not their biggest market so they treat us as such. Even their CEO cannot give a satisfactory answer. Harmonix have got Sony America and Microsoft users all looked after, however, and anyone who dares complain to them seems to be treated like a child and held in contempt. Then we have the subject of exporting legacy content into the game.7 months post launch and anybody covered by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe STILL cannot export Rock Band 1, 2, Lego Rock Band, and various track packs, this is on top of persisting issues for certain items of DLC. The songs are fine, there's nothing really 'special' to this game. Several features which I personally enjoyed in previous titles were nowhere to be found (practice mode, online play etc.), and only after consumer pressure are Harmonix patching them back in. This has to be the worst showing for the Rock Band series.
